Ali opening sequence analysis

Ali ‘2001’ Opening Sequence In the opening sequence of the film AIi, I like how he starts jogging at the beginning to show training, also it cuts from camera angles from behind, side view and in front. I also like how it cuts from the club back to him running consistently. The opening credits are in a good position as they do not get in the way of the shots, so you can see everything you need. I like how u then see him in the gym practising on the boxing ball. These shots then cut to him in a boxing fight and back, to give a foreshadowing of what the film is going to be about. The music that is used in the film is an upbeat jazz song which gives a nice feeling for the audience whilst watching the film. In my film I will use the jogging sequence at the beginning as it is a connotation for training for a sport. I also will use the cuts of camera angles where he is jogging so from behind, side and front views. Cuts from different scenes back to jogging are another aspect of this opening sequence that I am going to take. However I will not take the cuts of him in a boxing fight as I do not want to give the audience to much information on what my film is going to be about as they will see from the different costumes that I will use. I will not be taking the music choice from the film ‘Ali’ as I want to create a different emotion and atmosphere than in this film.
